Eastern hosted Lee Man at Mong Kok Stadium on Sunday afternoon (16th February 2025) for the BOC Life Hong Kong Premier League fixture. Lee Man beat Eastern by 4:3.

In a thrilling BOC Life Hong Kong Premier League encounter at Mong Kok Stadium on Sunday (February 16th), Lee Man staged a remarkable comeback to clinch a dramatic 4:3 victory over Eastern, securing all three points in this seven-goal thriller.

Eastern showed early intent when Ma Hei Wai orchestrated a promising move down the left flank, delivering a dangerous cross that Baffoe Noah failed to convert in the opening exchanges.

Lee Man gradually asserted their dominance, with Taufee Skandari testing the keeper with a long-range effort. Their persistence paid dividends in the 19th minute when Everton Camargo's pinpoint cross found Wong Wai, who made no mistake from close range to break the deadlock.

Eastern's Felipe Alexandre carved out a chance after a brilliant solo run, but his effort from an acute angle was expertly smothered by the goalkeeper. The match intensity heightened when Lee Man thought they had doubled their advantage through Simionato Paulo Sergio's clinical finish, only for VAR to intervene and rule it offside.

Lee Man had another scoring opportunity afterwards, as Everton Camargo received Taufee Skandari's pass from the right and unleashed a powerful left-footed shot from the edge of the box, which was acrobatically saved by the goalkeeper.

The first half concluded all square after Marcos Gondra's spectacular 25-yard free-kick found the top corner, bringing Eastern level just before the interval.

The second half exploded into life as Eastern turned the tide with two quick goals. Alexander Jojo capitalized on defensive uncertainty to curl home a sublime effort in the 48th minute, before Leung Chun Pong bundled home from Leung Kwun Chung's corner to establish a two-goal cushion.

However, Lee Man demonstrated remarkable resilience. After Simionato Paulo Sergio rattled the crossbar, Tachibana Ryoya's precise delivery found Samuel Rosa unmarked to reduce the deficit. The momentum shifted dramatically as Simionato Paulo Sergio rose highest to head home Wong Wai's corner for the equalizer, before Wong Wai himself completed the stunning turnaround with an exquisite volley.

Eastern's misery was compounded in the closing stages when Victor Bertomeu received his marching orders following a VAR review of his headbutt on Mitchel Paulissen, leaving his team to finish the match with ten men.

In the end, Lee Man defeated Eastern 4:3, securing all three points.
