In a thrilling BOC Life Hong Kong Premier League clash at Aberdeen Sports Ground on Saturday (February 15), Kwoon Chung Southern clinched a convincing 4:1 victory over North District to bag all three points.

The hosts drew first blood within two minutes when Gregory Rocha rose highest to nod home Chan Hoi Pak Paco's pinpoint corner at the near post, making it 1:0.

The lead was short-lived as Elian Villalobos equalized three minutes later, dispossessing a defender before surging into the box and rifling an unstoppable shot into the far corner.

The home side continued to press, with Lee Ka Yiu whipping in a dangerous cross that Jackson Franklim headed narrowly wide under pressure.

Sasaki Shu then tested the keeper with a long-range effort after clever link-up play with Gregory Rocha, but the defense stood firm to deflect it behind.

North District nearly turned the game on its head in the 33rd minute when Weverton Guilherme latched onto Ho Chun Ting's through ball, cut inside brilliantly, only to see his fierce drive cannon off the woodwork.

The hosts finished the half strongly with a flurry of chances. Ichikawa Sohgo's effort from a tight angle was blocked, followed by Gregory Rocha's close-range attempt being smothered by the keeper. Ichikawa Sohgo then squandered another opportunity, blazing over after a neat turn in the box.

The sides went into the break deadlocked at 0:0.

Kwoon Chung Southern dominated after the restart and regained the lead in the 56th minute. Chan Hoi Pak Paco's delivery from a short corner caused havoc in the box, allowing Wong Ho Yin to pounce and slot home from close range.

The visitors tried to respond through a neat one-two between Weverton Guilherme and Kendy Renato, but the goalkeeper was equal to the resulting shot.

The hosts put the game to bed in the 78th minute when Stefan Pereira showed excellent composure to control Chan Hoi Pak Paco's cross and fire home for 3:1.

Jackson Franklim put the icing on the cake two minutes later, clinically finishing from an acute angle after being played through by Stefan Pereira.

Stefan Pereira could have added further gloss to the scoreline in the dying moments, but dragged his effort wide after a magnificent solo run past two defenders.

The final whistle confirmed an emphatic 4:1 triumph for Kwoon Chung Southern, who claimed all three points in style.
