Both sides came out firing after the kickoff. In the 2nd minute, Tai Po's Lucas Da Silva whipped in a cross from the right flank. Chan Siu Kwan Philip met it in the box with an acrobatic right-footed effort, but the keeper made a crucial save with his feet.

Kwoon Chung Southern threatened in the 7th minute when Gregory Rocha dispossessed an opponent in the final third before unleashing a thunderous left-footed drive from outside the area, which the keeper gathered safely.

The numerical advantage spurred Kwoon Chung Southern into action. In the 76th minute, Raphael Merkies met Jonatan Acosta's cross from the right with a header that the keeper managed to keep out. Moments later, Lee Ka Yiu's delivery from the right found Stefan Pereira, whose header sailed over the crossbar.

As the match entered stoppage time, Jonatan Acosta's cross from the right wing found Song Juho, who cushioned a header to Gregory Rocha. Gregory then unleashed a fierce left-footed drive that the keeper spectacularly tipped over the bar with one hand.

Kwoon Chung Southern's persistence finally paid off in the dying moments of the game. Lee Ka Yiu's corner from the right was met by Gregory Rocha with a diving header at the near post, finding the back of the net.

The final whistle blew with the scoreboard reading 1:1, as Kwoon Chung Southern and Tai Po each claimed a point in this hard-fought encounter.
