Eastern came out of the blocks firing on all cylinders. In the 4th minute, Leung Kwun Chung whipped in a dangerous free-kick from the right flank, with Victor Bertomeu's header sailing just over the crossbar. The deadlock was broken at the 9-minute mark when Leung Kwun Chung delivered a pinpoint cross from the left, allowing Victor Bertomeu to nod home from close range, putting Eastern 1:0 up.
Crownity North District, trailing but not out of the contest, had a golden opportunity when Marcos Wgener's cross from the right caused havoc in the box. However, Eastern's goalkeeper Yapp Hung Fai was quick off his line to smother the ball before Chu Wai Kwan could pounce.
Eastern's dominance paid dividends again in the 13th minute. Leung Kwun Chung's corner kick from the left found Daniel Vera, who rose highest to power home a header, doubling Eastern's advantage to 2:0.
The onslaught continued as Eastern carved out chance after chance. Wong Ho Chun unleashed a long-range effort from the edge of the area, but the keeper was equal to it. Eastern's relentless pressure told once more in the 29th minute when Ng Yu Hei's cross from the right found Baffoe Noah, who chested the ball down before rifling home with his left foot, extending the lead to 3:0.
Crownity North District tried to respond, with Constancio Guilherme stepping up to take a free-kick from 25 yards out, but his effort lacked the necessary curl and was comfortably gathered by the Eastern goalkeeper.
As the first half drew to a close, Eastern continued to pepper the Crownity North District goal. Marcos Gondra latched onto a sublime through ball from Lam Hing Ting but blazed his shot over the bar. Moments later, Ng Yu Hei showcased his silky skills, weaving past two defenders on the left before cutting inside and unleashing a thunderbolt that rattled the crossbar. At the half-time whistle, Eastern held a commanding 3:0 lead over Crownity North District.
The second half kicked off with Crownity North District showing signs of life. Kendy Renato connected with Constancio Guilherme's pass inside the box, but his powerful drive flew agonizingly over the woodwork.
Crownity North District's missed opportunity proved costly as Eastern extended their lead in the 48th minute. Ng Yu Hei ghosted past his marker on the left before delivering a teasing cross. Wong Ho Chun met it with a deft chip that kissed the underside of the bar before nestling in the net, pushing Eastern's advantage to 4:0.
Eastern weren't done yet. In the 52nd minute, Marcos Gondra embarked on a mazy run into the penalty area. A half-clearance from the Crownity North District defense fell kindly to Ng Yu Hei, who lashed home a right-footed rocket to make it 5:0.
Crownity North District finally had something to cheer about in the 64th minute. Constancio Guilherme stepped up to take a free-kick on the edge of the box and curled a sublime effort into the top right corner, giving the goalkeeper no chance.
Eastern continued to push for more goals in the dying minutes. Alexander Jojo's cross from the right found Marcos Gondra, whose goal-bound header was acrobatically tipped away by the keeper. Lee Chun Ting then delivered an inviting ball from the right to the unmarked Baffoe Noah, but the striker couldn't keep his header down from point-blank range.
When the final whistle blew, Eastern had secured a comprehensive 5:1 victory over Crownity North District, claiming all three points and cementing their position at the top of the table.
