KCC met up with Lucky Mile at Tsang Tai Uk Recreation Ground for the Jockey Club Youth Football League (U18 – League A) fixture on Friday (Apr 28, 2023), KCC defeated Lucky Mile by a convinced 3:0 victory to claim all three points.

KCC stormed out of the game and went knocked on Lucky Mile’s door in just two minutes with Sami’s long-range attempt which was gone wide. On the 10th minute, KCC duly broke the game open. Umar connected with Guus’ pass in the middle and headed the ball. KCC was up 1:0. On the 15th minute, KCC came close again but Joy’s shot after picked up a pass from left flank was slightly angled out. But KCC didn’t wait too long for their second goal, Joy set off an amazing run through the middle and pulled the trigger just in front of the box, the goalkeeper did well to pave it away but Calvin arrived right on time and rebounded it home, making it 2:0. Joy still had two scoring chances late in the first half but he failed to find the target with his attempts.

KCC kept the pressure coming in the second half and was almost rewards early in the second half, Umar shook off his marker down the left flank and curled the ball towards the bottom corner, only to see his shot bounced off the post.

Lucky Mile tried to mount a comeback by creating chance through counterattack. On the 56th minute, Lyons connected with a fine pass from Kaden, but his effort went wide in front of the goalkeeper, followed by another shot by him which missed the target again.

KCC regained control of the game late in the second half. Arjun and Joy’s continuous shots on the 64th minute both being saved by the goalkeeper. However, KCC was not denied and managed to score their third goal of the game on the 68th minute, Sami picked out Jasper in the middle by a cross from the left flank, the latter waste no time and smashed the ball home to make it 3:0.

The score stood towards the final whistle, as KCC pulled off a commanding 3:0 victory over Lucky Mile and claimed all three points.
