Rulings on the Hong Kong U23 Representative Team Misconduct Incident (Continued)

Regarding the misconduct and inappropriate behaviour that occurred during the Hong Kong Under-23 Representative Team's participation at group fixtures of the AFC U23 Asian Cup Qualifiers, the Disciplinary Committee of the Hong Kong Football Association held a hearing on 10 January. The following ruling was made –

*  Enforced on 22 December 2021 and inclusive of representative teams of all age groups.

 

In line with the ruling issued on 28 December 2021, a one-year suspension for selection into the Hong Kong Representative Team is imposed for breaching the relevant anti-epidemic rules of the local host and organiser. The above-mentioned player was also found to have breached the Code of Ethics for Representative Team Members where he was fined HK$4,000.
