2020-2021 Jockey Club Futsal League (FA Cup - Div.2) - League Update


Early in the game, Sham Shui Po quickly went into attacking mode, as Chan Ching-hei and Ng Wai-kwan fired shots towards the Tuen Mun F.C. goal but was both turned away by goalkeeper Tong Sai-hung.

On the 14th minute, Tuen Mun F.C. came close to opening the score, as Keith Ma broke behind the Sham Shui Po defense, then rounded the goalkeeper and pulled the trigger. However, Sham Shui Po’s Lam Ho-man did not give up on the play and managed to clear the ball away with great effort.

Tuen Mun F.C. dodged a bullet and duly drew first blood of the game on the 17th minute. Lam Kwun-ho picked up the ball inside the Sham Shui Po penalty area, then spun and fired. The ball hit the goal-post and went into the net, putting Tuen Mun F.C. in front 1:0 right before half time.

After the game resumed, Sham Shui Po had a great chance to draw level. Unfortunately, Donald Liu's shot was nicely saved by the Tuen Mun F.C. goalkeeper.

On the 26th minute, Tuen Mun F.C. had a dangerous counter-attack. Keith Ma unloaded a quick shot but was stopped by the Sham Shui Po goalkeeper.

Past the half hour mark, Sham Shui Po's Chan Ching-hei let rip from outside the Tuen Mun F.C. penalty area but was rejected by the goal-post.

Late in the game, Sham Shui Po goalkeeper Yuen Sai-bun pressed forward, hoping to net the equalizer. Yuen managed to get a touch on the ball inside the Tuen Mun F.C. penalty area and re-directed it home. The game was now tied at 1:1.

The game remained all squared at 1:1 at the final whistle and required penalty shootout to determine the winner. At the end, it was Sham Shui Po that scrapped past Tuen Mun F.C. through a 1:1 (3:1) victory.

Later on in the same venue, two more Jockey Club Futsal League FA Cup (2 Div.) Quarterfinals were on the cards. Ravia Sports Association defeated King Mountain through a 2:2 (5:4) penalty shootout victory, while Beauty Pool Football Union shutout Jardine Sports Association by 5:0.
