2020-2021 Jockey Club Futsal League (FA Cup - Div.2) - League Update


Ample Way Elite Kuitan faced off against Kwun Tong on Monday evening in Sha Tin Racecourse Sports Ground for a Jockey Club Jockey Club Futsal League FA Cup (2 Div.) Round 2 fixture. Both sides traded goals back and forth on the evening, but it was Ample Way Elite Kuitan that eventually came up on top, edging Kwun Tong 3:2 and marching into the next round of the competition.

Ample Way Elite Kuitan almost established an early lead in the game, yet shots from Ip Kwok-hei and Chan Tsz-fung both failed to hit the back of the Kwun Tong net.

Afterwards, Kwun Tong started to find its footing and recorded its own scoring chances as well. As a matter of fact, Lam Ho-yin and Chan Chak-wang both fired shots on the Ample Way Elite Kuitan goal but were all turned away by goalkeeper Wong Kwan-ho.

On the 16th minute, Ample Way Elite Kuitan finally broke the stalemate, as Lam Tsz-ching's pass was nicely picked up by Chan Chun-yu. The latter let rip from the top of the penalty area and hit the back of the Kwun Tong net, putting Ample Way Elite Kuitan in front 1:0. The first half eventually ended with Ample Way Elite Kuitan up by a goal.

Kwun Tong got off to a fast start in the second half and quickly tied the game, as Lau Man-dick connected with a teammate’s long pass, then beat the Ample Way Elite Kuitan goalkeeper to the ball and fired it home. The score was now 1:1.

On the 22nd minute, a well-executed counter-attack from Ample Way Elite Kuitan saw Sy Chun-him smashed the ball home from the right flank and put his side in front once again.

Kwun Tong duly replied on the 26th minute, as Chan Chak-wang buried his scoring chance from close-range and tucked the ball home. The score was all tied at 2:2.

Past the half hour mark, Ample Way Elite Kuitan's Ip Kwok-hei delivered a dangerous cross towards the middle. Kwun Tong's Lau Man-dick accidentally knocked the ball into his own net, gifting Ample Way Elite Kuitan a 3:2 lead.

At the end, that was all Ample Way Elite Kuitan needed to come out on top, as the side went on to secure a 3:2 victory over Kwun Tong, advancing to the next round of the Jockey Club Jockey Club Futsal League FA Cup (2 Div.)
