Hong Kong Football Association express sadness over the passing of Sir David Akers-Jones

The Hong Kong Football Association expresses deep sadness and condolences at the passing of Sir David Akers-Jones. Sir David played a significant role in football in Hong Kong and at the Hong Kong Football Association. Sir David Akers-Jones was Vice-Patron of the Hong Kong Football Association. Sir David was a very active Officer (Vice President) at the HKFA in the 1970’s and 1980’s. He was the Chairman of the Football Development Committee and played a significant role in helping HKFA to procure the existing site for building the HKFA Headquarter premises. In recent years Sir David continued to attend football matches in Hong Kong. On behalf of the Hong Kong Football Association, Chief Executive Officer Mr. Paul Woodland, extended deepest sympathy to Sir David Akers-Jones family.
