Mid-Autumn Fun Session with Hong Kong Football Team


[Hong Kong, 9 Sep 2019] To celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival, Hong Kong Football Association (HKFA) organized a fun session with the Hong Kong Representative Team to meet the press. HKFA created a tailor-made mooncake with the engraved words about FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 & AFC Asian Cup 2023 Preliminary Joint Qualification Round 2 (Home Matches) – Hong Kong vs IR Iran.


HKFA introduced our partners, including Kwoon Chung Bus Holdings Limited, which had been sponsoring an exclusive coach to take the Hong Kong Football Team travelling to the venues of matches and training centres. A group photo was taken in front of the coach, together the players and a representative from Kwoon Chung Bus Holdings Limited.


Hong Kong vs IR Iran match will be held at 8pm on 10 September at Hong Kong Stadium. Jerseys and limited-edition premiums will be available for purchase on-site at the match day. Hong Kong Team Training Nike Jersey will come with two styles, including Player Jersey (orange) and Referee Jersey (grey). Each will be on sale at HK$299.


Moreover, HKFA collaborated with Lee Kung Man Knitting Factory (HK) Ltd, a local clothing brand with a long history, to launch 4 styles of limited-edition tee with Hong Kong team logos from the 60s. Each style of tee will be on sale at one of the four upcoming World Cup Qualifiers matches, for $338 each, until sold out. 200 Tee of each style will be available and each tee will come with a package box with a number indicating the sequence of limited-edition.  


To express our gratitude to our fans, HKFA partnered with a famous local bakery Wah Yee Tang Cake Shop. At the match of Sep 10, HKFA will distribute the special mooncakes as well as some small mooncakes on a first come first serve basis.


In addition, HKFA received the support from Shell Hong Kong Limited (Shell), in order to cheer the Hong Kong Football Team for FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. Shell will provide various offer to football fans. With the ticket stub of Sep 10 match, fans could redeem coupons of a total value of $480 gasoline and convenience store purchases in any Shell station in Hong Kong.
