HKFC met Crownity North District at Hammer Hill Road Sport Ground on Sub afternoon for JC Sapling Cup Group A fixture of the day. Crownity North District defected HKFC by 1:3.
HKFC threatened early, with Gustavo Henrique's header from a teammate's long ball in the first minute forcing a save from the goalkeeper.
Crownity North District broke the deadlock in the 5th minute. Matheus Nascimento latched onto Kiranbir Singh's long pass, burst into the box, and slotted home from a tight angle to put his side 1:0 up.
The 19th minute saw Crownity North District press forward again. Guilherme Kayron made a surging run from deep, beat a defender on the edge of the area, but his left-footed effort sailed just over the crossbar.
Both sides struggled to create clear-cut chances for the remainder of the half. Crownity North District took their slender 1:0 lead into the break.
Crownity North District continued to dominate after the restart. In the 50th minute, they won a corner on the left flank. HKFC's clearance fell to Khan Jahangir, whose left-footed drive from outside the box went high. Moments later, Khan Jahangir whipped in another cross, but Ho Chun Ting's follow-up shot missed the target.
Crownity North District doubled their advantage in the 65th minute. Khan Jahangir's cross from the left wing looped over the keeper and nestled in the far corner, extending Crownity North District's lead to 2:0.
HKFC pulled one back in the 70th minute. Daniel Scally collected a long ball, dribbled past two defenders, and squared it for Lam Chi Fung to tap in, reducing the deficit to 1:2.
However, Crownity North District sealed the win in the 77th minute. Weverton Guilherme's free-kick from the left found the unmarked Matheus Nascimento, who powered home a header. The final whistle confirmed Crownity North District's 3:1 triumph over HKFC, securing all three points.
