The Football Association of Hong Kong, China (HKFA) is pleased to announce that Hong Kong will host the 2025 EAFF E-1 Football Championship Preliminary Round.
The Executive Committee of the East Asian Football Federation (EAFF) held a meeting today (23rd), at which it was confirmed that Hong Kong will host the 2025 EAFF E-1 Football Championship Preliminary Round, which is scheduled to be held in Hong Kong from December 7 to 17, 2024. TASHIMA Kohzo, President of EAFF, expressed his excitement and support that Hong Kong will host the 2025 EAFF E-1 Football Championship Preliminary Round.
Mr. Eric FOK, Chairman of HKFA and Vice President of EAFF, is excited about Hong Kong hosting the tournament: "HKFA has been actively striving to host the EAFF E-1 Football Championship Preliminary Round, making large-scale Asian-level football events can be held in Hong Kong. Hong Kong has advantages in hosting large-scale competitions, for competition venues, Hong Kong Stadium, Mong Kok Stadium and Kai Tak Sports Park can be used.”
There are seven teams participating in the preliminary round, including DPR Korea, Hong Kong, China, Chinese Taipei, Macau, Mongolia, Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands, teams will be divided into two groups to compete for a spot in the final. The group draw and fixture arrangements will be announced in due course.
