Best Union Yuen Long and Wong Tai Sin clashed heads at Sha Tin Racecourse S/G for the Jockey Club Futsal League FA Cup final on Last Thursday. It was a thrilling goal-fest as both teams battled it out on the pitch. The game ended in a thrilling 6-6 draw after the final whistle, leading to a penalty shootout. Wong Tai Sin emerged victorious by Best Union Yuen Long 5-4 in the shootout, resulting in them being crowned champions.

Best Union Yuen Long started the game on the front foot, with Lo Tsz Kit and Lee Oi Hin hitting the woodwork within the first three minutes. Their effort paid off on the 10th minute when Wong Tik Sang Dickson tapped in a cross from Leung Sin Fung to open the scoring. However, Wong Tai Sin quickly responded with Yan Wai Hong's incisive pass finding the far post, and Lin Chi Shing was on hand to level the score. Best Union Yuen Long regained the lead only a minute later, as Lee Chun Ho slotted home from a narrow angle following a corner kick. But Wong Tai Sin equalize again once again with a stunning long-range strike from Chan Cheuk Kwong within a minute.

Best Union Yuen Long continued to dominate the game and created numerous scoring chances. On the 15th minute, a fantastic build-up by Best Union Yuen Long produced a golden chance for Lee Oi Hin inside the box, only to see his effort was blocked by the goalkeeper. One minute later, Lee Oi Hin finally seized the opportunity and scored from close-range after connecting with a well-placed corner delivery from teammate, making it 3-2. However, Best Union Yuen Long, which had led for the third time, couldn't maintain their lead and went into halftime tied 3-3 after a defensive error allowed Kwok Chun Tung to finish one-one-one against the goalkeeper on the 17th minute.

Wong Tai Sin stormed out in the second half and kept pressuring Best Union Yuen Long, but Li Yat Long Anson made several crucial saves to keep his team in the game. On the 30th minute, a sloppy pass from Wong Tai Sin gave away the ball in the back court, Lo Tsz Kit collected the loose ball and found Lee Oi Hin at the far post, the latter blasted it home into the top corner, making it 4-3. However, Wong Tai Sin, who showed great resilience throughout the game, equalized for the fourth time within a minute, Kwok Chun Tung picked up a lovely long pass from Lin Chi Shing and found the net with his right foot.
Late in the game, both teams engaged in a fierce back-and-forth battle. On the 34th minute, Wong Chi Hong capitalized on a penalty opportunity and fired a powerful shot into the net, giving his team a 5:4 advantage. However, less than a minute later, Lin Chi Shing scored a crucial equalizer from a pass by Yan Wai Hong, leaving both teams tied once again. Finally, at the 35th minute, Wong Tai Sin managed to take the lead for the first time in the game. Yan Wai Hong shook off two defenders on the right and struck the ball into the bottom corner. Nevertheless, on the 37th minute, Lo Tsz Kit connected with Lee Oi Hin’s right cross and tucked the ball into the unguarded goal, bringing the game back to a draw. The game was tied at 6:6 after the final whistle and had to be decided by a penalty shootout. In the second round, Wong Tai Sin's Or Siu Yuen’s shot was denied by the crossbar, but Best Union Yuen Long's Ng Chun Yin and Leung Sin Fung also missed in the fourth and sixth rounds respectively. Finally, Wong Tai Sin emerged victorious by defeating Best Union Yuen Long 5:4 in the penalty shootout to win the champion.
