In an electrifying Jockey Club Futsal league - Division 1 clash held at Shek Kip Mei Park Sports Centre on Thursday (27th June), Wong Tai Sin edged out Tsun Tat with a 4:3 victory, bagging all three points.

The match kicked off with Wong Tai Sin launching a fierce offensive, creating numerous scoring opportunities within the opening 5 minutes. Wong Tai Sin's Oyuntuya Oyunbold's powerful shot was initially thwarted by Tsun Tat's goalkeeper Yeung Ka Wai after a robust run down the right flank. Soon after, Chan Cheuk Kwong's attempt was also parried away by the agile goalkeeper, following a neat link-up play with Oyuntuya Oyunbold.

Wong Tai Sin's perseverance finally paid off in the 6th minute, with Chan Cheuk Kwong capitalizing on a swift counterattack. He found the back of the net with a sublime strike from a tight angle on the right, drawing first blood for Wong Tai Sin and setting the pace with a 1:0 lead.

Dominating the proceedings, Wong Tai Sin continued their relentless pursuit for more goals. In the 7th minute, Oyuntuya Oyunbold's cross from the left found the unmarked Chan Cheuk Kwong, whose shot unfortunately ricocheted off the post.

The 8th minute saw Wong Tai Sin double their advantage, thanks to an energetic display from Oyuntuya Oyunbold who assisted Chan Chi Yan to slot home from a narrow angle, extending the lead to 2:0.

Tsun Tat finally mounted a response in the 9th minute, but their assaults were repelled by Wong Tai Sin's goalkeeper Sum Chun Hin, who produced a couple of spectacular saves to deny Tsun Tat's Lai Pui Kei.

Enjoying the lion's share of possession, Wong Tai Sin surged forward to secure their third goal in the 16th minute. Chan Cheuk Kwong unleashed an audacious long-range lob shot from the midfield line, catching everyone off-guard and extending their lead to a comfortable 3:0.

Wong Tai Sin maintained their stronghold until half-time, warding off fierce strikes from Tsuen Tat's Chen Ching Yu and Choi Hiu Chi, thereby preserving their 3:0 advantage.

As the second half commenced, Wong Tai Sin continued to dictate the pace, with Hui Cheuk Lun narrowly missing a scoring opportunity after a beautiful feed from Lui Nok Man on the right.

Despite trailing, Tsun Tat refused to back down and managed to claw their way back into the game in the 25th minute. Ma Sin Kwan unleashed a ferocious strike from the left, sending the ball soaring into the far top corner of the net to reduce the deficit to 1:3.

Riding on the momentum, Tsun Tat pressed on with their attacks. Despite a near miss from Lai Pui Kei, Tsun Tat found their second goal in the 26th minute, capitalizing on a defensive blunder by Wong Tai Sin. Szeto Chung Ho seized the opportunity to feed the ball to the unmarked Ma Sin Kwan, who tucked it away neatly, further closing the gap to 2:3.

However, their joy was short-lived as Wong Tai Sin quickly restored their two-goal cushion in the following minute. Oyuntuya Oyunbold embarked on a dazzling run down the left and set up Lui Nok Man for a simple tap-in, making it 4:2.

Although Tsun Tat managed to pull one back in the 28th minute with Chen Ching Yu converting a cross from Lai Pui Kei into a goal from a tight angle, they were unable to level the scores in the remaining minutes.

Finally Wong Tai Sin successfully weathered Tsun Tat's late surge and held their nerve until the final whistle, securing a thrilling 4:3 victory and pocketing all three points.
