We expected around 1000 spectators to come watch the match. In order to have better crowd control, it was decided by various stakeholders to implement online registration before the match; registered individual can collect the physical ticket at the gate.
Online registration form was opened at 6 p.m. on 13-DEC. The quotas were reached within an hour. We have announced the news accordingly via our social media and website.
We expected around 1000 spectators: 400 were distributed via school programme, the rest were sent to local organisations, schools, participating teams and other parties. Fans who were unable to register their tickets are welcome to watch the live broadcast of the game.
Knowing the enthusiastic public response, HKFA and Kai Tak Sports Park Limited have immediately dealt with the situation at the scene where overseas fans have a dedicated counter to register and collect their tickets.
We understand that the arrangements were not ideal but this tournament needs to balance the requirements of and concerns from all government officials. We apologize for any inconvenience caused. We hope the fans will continue to support the remaining two matches of the EAFF E-1 Football Championship Preliminary Competition.
