On January 13th 2024 an allegation was made that during the "All HK Inter-Area Primary Schools Futsal Competition 2023-2024" several coaches had acted in a manner contrary to the ethics and sporting integrity of the game. This was during the Kwai Chung District vs. Tuen Mun District U12 fixture.

The matter was referred to the Coach Education Department of HKFA and an investigation was conducted. As part of this investigation HKFA cooperated with the Schools Sports Federation of Hong Kong, China. At the conclusion of the investigation, it was unanimously ruled that the four coaches had violated the ‘HKFA Code of Conduct for Coach - Ethical Principles’.

The coaches were suspended from coaching in all football matches and activities organized by HKFA. On Friday 1st March 2024 the coaches were informed of their suspensions, which are for periods between 2 and 6 years.

HKFA attaches great importance to the ethics and sporting integrity of all coaches and players. It is hoped the quick response to this matter, and the suspensions of those involved, send a clear message that actions of this nature will not be tolerated.
