The Football Association of Hong Kong, China (HKFA) announces that, Head Coach of the Hong Kong, China Representative Team, Mr. Jörn Andersen has announced his resignation today (May 29, 2024). HKFA sincerely thanks Mr. Andersen for his contributions to Hong Kong football since his appointment on December 13, 2021, and wishes him every success in his new position.
In his farewell letter to the Hong Kong Team's fans, Mr. Andersen expressed his gratitude for the support from HKFA, players, and the fans. He also revealed that the reason for his departure is that he received an invitation from a club outside Hong Kong that presents an opportunity he simply cannot refuse.
