Formed in 1954, AFC is the governing body of Asian football with 47 Member Associations and one of the six Confederations making up FIFA. Its vision is to be the world’s leading Confederation as well as to have more successful Asian teams on the world stage and to firmly establish football as the number one sport in the continent which has contributed significantly to the successful staging of the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar.

Mr. Fok has been a member of the AFC Executive Committee since April 2019 and successfully organised the 2019 AFC Annual Awards in Hong Kong for the first time in history. His re-election was supported by Member Associations unanimously, in recognition of his dedication and commitment to football development in the previous term.

Honoured by the recognition shown, Mr. Fok said "I am delighted to be given the opportunity to work hand-in-hand with fellow Members of the Executive Committee in advancing the development of football in Asia. The recent success of Asian teams at the Qatar World Cup is indeed very encouraging and shows that we have become strong competitors under the leadership of the AFC."

"I look forward to the upcoming AFC Asian Cup to be held in Qatar where Hong Kong will be competing in this top-tier tournament again after an absence of 54 years. Leading up to the Asian Cup, HKFA plans to host more international matches so that our team will be well-prepared and fans may enjoy the excitement of matches to the fullest," Mr. Fok said.
