2024-25 Jockey Club Futsal League (Division 1) – Pak Hei 6:2 Wong Tai Sin
In a thrilling Jockey Club Futsal League (Division 1) encounter at Shek Kip Mei Park Sports Centre on Thursday (March 13), Pak Hei dominated proceedings to secure a commanding 6:2 triumph over Wong Tai Sin.
The match sparked into life early as Wong Tai Sin's Lai Sheung Hui Reth carved out the first opportunity, cutting in from the left flank before unleashing a fierce drive that goalkeeper Ching Man Chun did well to parry. Moments later, Ma Kam Chun connected with a delivery from the left wing, but his ambitious effort sailed wide of the target.
Pak Hei's first meaningful attack came in the 5th minute when Kwok Yu Ching displayed excellent anticipation to dispossess the opposition, only to drag his effort wide when clean through. The pressure continued as Yuen Sai Bo's thunderous strike from an acute angle forced the goalkeeper Sum Chun Hin into a fingertip save, with Lok Chit Fung's subsequent header being desperately cleared off the line.
The deadlock was finally broken in the 9th minute through a slice of fortune, as Ng Pak Sun's strike took a wicked deflection before falling perfectly for Kwok Yu Ching, who made no mistake from close range. The floodgates opened as Ng Pak Sun doubled the advantage moments later with a deflected long-range effort that wrong-footed the keeper, making it 2:0.
Pak Hei's relentless pressing paid dividends again in the 11th minute when goalkeeper Sum Chun Hin's clearance cannoned off Ng Pak Sun and into the path of the striker, who showed composure to slot home into an unguarded net for 3:0.
Despite being under siege, Wong Tai Sin showed fighting spirit. Ma Kam Chun unleashed a thunderbolt from the edge of the area that forced a spectacular save from the keeper, before seeing another long-range attempt expertly tipped over the crossbar.
The rout continued in the 17th minute as Yuen Sai Bo's precise through ball found Lok Chit Fung unmarked, who clinically dispatched for Pak Hei's fourth. Wong Tai Sin managed to pull one back before the interval through Lai Sheung Hui Reth's clinical finish from a tight angle on the left.
Pak Hei led Wong Tai Sin 4:1 at halftime.
After the restart, Wong Tai Sin showed renewed vigor as Lai Sheung Hui Reth's pinpoint cross found Lin Chi Shing, whose header narrowly missed the target. Lai Sheung Hui Reth remained a constant threat, creating space on the edge of the box only to see his effort whistle past the post.
Pak Hei continued to look dangerous on the counter, with Lok Chit Fung failing to capitalize on Lee Chi Ho's excellent delivery from the left wing. They were denied by the woodwork in the 28th minute when Kwok Yu Ching's spectacular effort from distance rattled the crossbar.
The fifth goal arrived on the half-hour mark through a clinical counter-attack, Ng Pak Sun applying a decisive finish to Yuen Sai Bo's precise cross. Wong Tai Sin refused to surrender, with Chu Chun Yuen's defense-splitting pass finding Chan Chi Yan, whose shot was smothered by the alert goalkeeper.
Despite Lai Sheung Hui Reth's persistence with a long-range effort that the keeper handled confidently, Wong Tai Sin's determination was finally rewarded when Heung Pak Qiu converted Lin Chi Shing's assist with a clinical finish from an acute angle to make it 2:5.
The final word belonged to Pak Hei as Ng Pak Yin's inch-perfect cross found the unmarked Ng Pak Sun, who completed his hat-trick with a simple tap-in to round off an emphatic 6:2 victory and secure all three points.
