The deadlock was broken just 6 minutes into the encounter. Fiel Welthon, showcasing his skill, shrugged off his marker at the edge of the box and threaded a pinpoint through ball. Rey Aaron, latching onto the pass, kept his composure in a one-on-one situation with the keeper and coolly slotted home, putting Kitchee 1:0 up.

As the game entered stoppage time, Kitchee put the result beyond doubt. Lam Lok Kan Jordan's cross from the left found Fiel Welthon lurking at the far post. His initial header took a wicked deflection off a defender before ricocheting back off Fiel Welthon and into the net for a fortuitous but deserved 3:0 lead.

The rout was completed moments before the final whistle. Poon Pui Hin's inviting cross from the right flank found Fiel Welthon unmarked in the box. The striker made no mistake, powering home a header to complete his brace and seal an emphatic 4:0 victory for Kitchee, cementing their grip on all three points.
