Crownity North District played against Kitchee at North District Sports Ground on Saturday afternoon (31st August) for the BOC Life Hong Kong Premier League fixture of the day. Crownity North District 2:2 draw with Kitchee.

Kitchee took control early in the game. In the 10th minute, Sherzid Temirov latched onto a pass from Cheng Chin Lung, but his rapid-fire shot from inside the box went narrowly wide.

Sherzod Temirov came close again in the 18th minute, turning and firing in a crowded penalty area, but was denied by the woodwork.

Kitchee eventually broke the deadlock in the 22nd minute. Ruslan Mingazov, chasing a long ball, was brought down by Crownity North District's goalkeeper Cheung Kwai Wa in the area. Sherzod Temirov stepped up to calmly convert the penalty, putting Kitchee ahead 1:0.

As the first half drew to a close, Corwnity North District had their chances to level the score. Lo Kong Wai connected with a cross from Khan Jahangir on the left, his close-range effort blocked by a defender. Wong Wai Kwok’s long-range attempt later also went off target.

Kitchee maintained the pressure into the second half. In the 48th minute, Tan Chun Lok headed home from a Ruslan Mingazov corner, but the goal was disallowed due to an offside call.

Kitchee doubled their lead in the 70th minute. Walter Junior intercepted the ball in midfield, stormed into the box and slotted a left-footed shot into the net, extending the lead to 2:0.

Refusing to be subdued, Corwnity North District fought back. Constancio Pereira Weverton Guilherme's powerful right-footed strike from the left was mishandled by goalkeeper Talley, yet the goal was annulled for offside.

In the 85th minute, Crownity North District clawed one back. Law Hiu Chung delivered a precise through ball which was poorly cleared by Kitchee's defense, allowing Kendy Renato to pounce and score, reducing the deficit to 1:2.

Drama unfolded in the 90th minute as Crownity North District found the equalizer. Marco Wegener's cross from the left was met by Chu Wai Kwan, who laid it off for Soares Nascimento Matheus to tap in from close range, leveling the score at 2:2.

Kitchee had a last chance to snatch victory late on when Fiel Welthon's left-footed strike from the edge of the box sailed just wide.

In the end, both teams settled for a point each in this thrilling encounter.
