Hong Kong football team produced a stunning performance to seize their first victory in 2023 with a 10:0 win over Brunei.Everton Camargo、Chan Siu Kwan Philip and Poon Pui Hin became the hero of the game as they all grabbed a brilliant brace at the Hong Kong Stadium on the day.
Hong Kong came out strong after the opening whistle and went knocking on Brunei’s door in only 6 minutes,Everton Camargo cut inside from the right and fired the ball towards the bottom corner,but the goalkeeper did well to pave it away. Everton Camargo posed a constant threat in this match and eventually broke the deadlock for Hong Kong on the 12th minute.The winger connected with a pass from Michael Udebuluzor inside the box and finished it home with curling shot.Hong Kong extended their lead on the 20th minute,Tan Chun Lok collected the loose ball at the edge of th box and blasted the home,making it 2:0 for Hong Kong.
Hong Kong almost scored another goal on the 39th minute,Fernando Agusto’s teasing cross from the left found Chan Siu Kwan Philip inside the box,but the latter’s headed was denied by post.One minute later,Chan Siu Kwan Philip released Fernando Agusto with a lovely pass,only to see the latter’s narrow angle shot was pushed away by the goalkeeper.Hong Kong found their third goal on the 41st minute as Goncalves Helio headed home from Wong Wai’s corner-kick.Michael Udebuluzor who was making his debut for his team,also had a chance to score before the halftime whistle,but unfortunately his powerful effort was denied by the crossbar.Hong Kong went into halftime with a commanding 3-0 lead over Brunei.
Hong Kong kept their momentum going in the second half and added another goal on the 50th minute. Michael Udebuluzor set off an amazing run in the right flank and knocked the ball towards the far post,Fernando Agusto arrived right on time and blasted the ball into the top corner,making it 4:0.But Hong Kong was not done yet and kept putting pressure on their opponent, 6 minutes later Michael Udebuluzor’s effort was push away by the goalkeeper,Everton Camargo was the first to the loose ball and knocked it towards the middle smartly,the unmarked Wong Wai finished it home with ease.Hong Kong was up 5:0. Everton Camargo’s solo performance on the right flank produced further damage on Brunei and completed his brace by a stunning narrow-angle shot on the the 58 minute.
It was Chan Siu Kwan Philip and Poon Pui Hin’s showtime afterwards.Chan Siu Kwan Philip scored a header from Shinichi Chan’s well-placed free-kick on the 64 minute firstly,he then connected with Sun Ming Him’s lovely cross form the left and tucked the ball in at the far post on the 83rd minute.While Poon Pui Hin also completed his brace within 3 minutes late in the game,Law Tsz Chun provided the assist for his first goal and he scored again on the 87 minutes with a close-range effort from Ju Yingzhi’s left cross.
The 10:0 score stood all the way towards the final whistle,as Hong Kong cruised past Brunei and seized their first victory this calendar year.
