Citizen started the game strong, as forward Marqes Da Silva, Lucas unleashed a cracking shot from outside the penalty area but was stopped by Hoi King goalkeeper Chan, Ka Ho.
Moments later, Citizen continued to apply pressure towards the Hoi King goal, yet Chung, Lok Yin Flexco’s header was superbly denied by Chan, Ka Ho in the Hoi King net.
Later on in the first half, Citizen’s Okamoto, Akito unloaded from inside the box but was stopped by Chan, Ka Ho once again. The first half finished with both sides locked in a goalless draw.
After the game resumed, Hoi King managed to draw first blood on the 66th minute, as Yeung, Chun Hei worked together with a teammate on a slick combination play, then finished things off with a neat strike, putting Hoi King in front 1:0.
Citizen tried to mount a comeback afterwards, yet Marqes Da Silva, Lucas’s shot sailed over the crossbar, while Chan, Hon Hing’s header rung off the woodwork and stayed out of the net.
The 1:0 score stood all the way towards the final whistle, as Hoi King went on to beat Citizen by the slimmest margin and advanced to the FA Cup (Junior Division) Final.
