Chelsea FC Soccer School (HK) faced Grace Citizen in Jockey Club HKFA Football Training Centre on Tuesday evening for a Jockey Club Women’s Youth Football League (U18) FA Cup semi-final fixture. Two goals from Grace Citizen on the night saw the young side beating Chelsea FC Soccer School (HK) 2:0 and clinching a spot in the final.

Two goals from Grace Citizen on the night saw the young side beating Chelsea FC Soccer School (HK) 2:0 and clinching a spot in the final.

Grace Citizen had solid chances early in the game, yet Chu Po Yan’s shot was charged away by the opposing goalkeeper.

Grace Citizen managed to draw first blood of the game on the 22nd minute, as Chu Po Yan picked up the ball, broke behind the opposing backline and fired the ball home via the far side. Grace Citizen was up 1:0.

On the half hour, Chelsea FC Soccer School (HK) had a great chance to tie the game. However, Wong Hiu Ting’s shot from inside the box was nicely saved by Sin Ching Fei in the Grace Citizen net.

Grace Citizen enjoyed a 1:0 lead over Chelsea FC Soccer School (HK) at the interval.

Both sides exchanged scoring chances in the second half.

Shortly after the game resumed, Grace Citizen’s Chan Wing Ching pushed forward and reached the opposing box, before pulling the trigger, only to send the ball wide.

A few minutes later, Chelsea FC Soccer School (HK)’s Fong Lok Ching spun-and-fired from outside the box, only to see her shot tipped over the crossbar by Grace Citizen goalkeeper Sin Ching Fei.

Late in the game, Grace Citizen’s Chan Wing Ching saw her shot took a deflection off a Chelsea FC Soccer School (HK) player and entered the net, making it 2:0 for Grace Citizen.

At the final whistle, it was Grace Citizen that came out on top, edging Chelsea FC Soccer School (HK) by 2:0 on the day, sealing a spot in the final.
