BC Rangers U14 and Wofoo Tai Po U14 clashed heads on Sunday (30 April 2023) at the Jockey Club Kitchee Centre for the Hong Kong Premier Youth League U14 (Championship Group) fixture. BC Rangers U14 claimed a commanding 6:1 victory over Wofoo Tai Po U14, getting all three points.
BC Rangers U14 and Wofoo Tai Po U14 clashed heads on Sunday (30 April 2023) at the Jockey Club Kitchee Centre for the Hong Kong Premier Youth League U14 (Championship Group) fixture. BC Rangers U14 claimed a commanding 6:1 victory over Wofoo Tai Po U14, getting all three points.
BC Rangers U14 fired a warning shot to Wofoo Tai Po U14 just a minute into the game when Sean Wong's shot inside the box was parried by the goalkeeper, following by Cameron’s rebound shot which was missed the target Rangers U14 kept the pressure coming, firstly with Caleb's freekick shot on the 3rd minute which forced a brilliant save by the goalkeeper, and then again with Yu Li Feng cutting from the right and fired away at the edge of the box, only to be saved by the goalkeeper again.
On the 13th minute, BC Rangers U14 finally managed to break the game open, as Sean Wong's shot from inside the box was tipped wide by the goalkeeper, but Cameron arrived just in time to rebound it home, making it 1-0. The underdog Wofoo Tai Po U14 tied the game by their first scoring chance. Although their freekick attempt from distance was punched away by the goalkeeper, Striker was the first one to the loose ball and tucked it home.
However, BC Rangers U14 regained their lead in just six minutes, Wong Milos Del Rosario sent the ball home by a powerful strike outside the box, making it 2:1.
BC Rangers U14 generated numerous scoring chances afterwards. On the 26th minute, Yu Li Feng danced through the middle and pulled the trigger, only to see his effort cleared by defender in front of the goal-line. On the 28th minute, it was Yu Li Feng again whose freekick shot was denied by the crossbar. One minute later, Yu Li Feng unloaded a superb free kick shot again, the goalkeeper could only push the ball away and Wong Milos Del turned the loose ball home. The first half eventually wrapped up with BC Rangers U14 establishing a 3:1 lead over Wofoo Tai Po U14.
BC Rangers U14 still enjoyed the upper hands in the second half and they expanded their lead on the 44th minute.Sean Wong shook off his marker and curled the ball home into the top left corner. BC Rangers U14 was up 4:1.
Wofoo Tai Po U14 almost scored one back on the 48th minute, Tam Chun Lim unleashed a long-range drive, but the goalkeeper did well to pave it away. BC Rangers U14 pulled further away on the 55th minute, as Jaewan connected with a well-placed corner and header the ball home. Late in the second half, Jaewan scored another goal for the BC Rangers U14, as he connected with a cross from teammate, firing it home with by volley-shot.
The score stood towards the final whistle, as BC Rangers U14 cruised past Wofoo Tai Po U14 through a commanding 6:1 victory.
