Yuen Long started the game aggressively but the first scoring chance did not occur until the 8th minute, a mistake from the Yau Tsim Mong goalkeeper gifted Yuen Long a scoring chance, So Hong Ki finished the ball home with ease in close range and it was the only goal for Yuen Long in the first session.
Yuen Long kept the pressure coming and expanded its lead on the 24th minute, Kwok Tsz Yin Marcus pressured the ball off Yau Tsim Mong defender and in the box and blasted the ball home. Three minutes later, Cheung Wai Lam rebounded the ball into the net after the his teammate's effort was charged away by the goalkeeper. Yuen Long was up 3:0. Yau Tsim Mong had a rare chance on the 37th minute by a counter attack, but Chee Yu Loon Aaron couldn't generate enough power for his long-range shot.
On the 38th minute, Wong Kwok Wai's effort was turned away by the goalkeeper in a one-one-one situation, and So Hong Ki was first to the rebound and knocked it into the net. Yuen Long was cruising a 4:0 lead over Yau Tsim Mong after two sessions.
Yuen Long still dominated the game in the last session. Chiang Chung Yin Brandon was the star in this session who scored twice and provided one assist for the team.
