HKPL Go Crazy Roadshow Campaign Drawing to a Close; Tumblr Poster Design Voting Approaching Deadline

2016-03-09

The popular “Let’s Go Crazy Roadshow!” Hong Kong Premier League street promotion campaign received a great boost over the past weekend, with featured Hong Kong Premier League players arriving on scene to join forces with several participating teams in the Yahoo!-organized, Tumblr U Program. Both sides teamed up superbly on the occasion and made it a great event for the local public and football fans.

BC Rangers forward Hui Ka-lok, who was on hand for the promotion event, spoke about his appreciation to the warm support that he received from Teartocheers, one of the participating teams in the Tumblr U Program. “I want to thank Teartocheers from the bottom of my heart for their serious and hard work on me,” said Hui. “The Teartocheers team is full of energy and is very passionate about learning more about myself, wanting to share all these nuggets to the general public through Tumblr, allowing more and more people to get to know the Hong Kong Premier League, my club BC Rangers and myself.”

Student Adison Chan, member of Teartocheers, admitted to coming out from the promotion event with a new found level of knowledge regarding Hong Kong football. “Before taking part in this promotion campaign, I personally did not have much knowledge about Hong Kong football. However, having spent time with (Hui) Ka-lok, I started to gain more knowledge about the sport and started to realize that Hong Kong professional footballers all trained very hard on their trade,” Chan explained.

“In addition, the players generally have a side that is not regularly seen by the public and often times, it is quite an interesting side. Therefore we really want to inject some positive energy into Hong Kong football by allowing the public to have access and be aware of these sides of the players, as well as letting the public know how the players kept on pursuing their football dreams.”

Timothy Cheung, member of hkgoallove, was also on hand for the promotion event. He and fellow hkgoallove members created various promotion items for Kitchee’s Lo Kwan-yee, hoping to generate more publicity for the Kitchee captain.

Cheung spoke about the enjoyment that he and his teammates all shared throughout the campaign. “We have enjoyed working with Kitchee and (Lo) Kwan-yee tremendously,” Cheung commented. “Kitchee really gave us a lot of flexibility in terms of cooperating with us, while Kwan-yee is simply a role model for the modern day youth. That is why when we were putting together a promotion poster, we decided to utilize Kitchee’s unique blue color as the background color. Hoping a modern touch on the design can help direct more attention towards the player himself and Hong Kong football.”

Please head to the Hong Kong Premier League facebook fanpage to cast your vote with your “Like” for your favourite Hong Kong Premier League Tumblr promotion poster. Voting closes at 23:59 on the 10th March, 2016.
