Despite a cold breeze sweeping through Hong Kong in recent days, promotions for the BOCG Life Hong Kong Premier League have been going on in full-swing, with seven players from four premier league sides braving the cold and getting onto the streets for a close-up encounter with passionate local football fans, putting the league’s “Let’s Go Crazy” theme in full action!

Recently recalled South China goalkeeper Tsang Man-fai attended the event representing the Caroliners and the young stopper was very appreciative to the turnout by the fans. “It is my first time participating in the Hong Kong Premier League promotion since my return to South China, of course I am very excited about the occasion! Despite the low temperature on hand, the fans seem to be enjoying the event and the opportunity to mingle with the players. Hopefully, there will be more of these promotions in the future, so that we can attract more fans to come to the stadium to cheer for us,” said Tsang.

Kitchee’s Brazilian wizard Fernando Pedreira noted that it was very heart-warming to see the fans showing up for the event despite the freezing temperatures. “With all the supporters braving the cold and coming out to cheer for myself and the team, I feel like everyone is ready to “Let’s Go Crazy” for the Hong Kong Premier League! Able to receive such passionate support from the fans means a lot to me and it definitely motivates me to work harder on the pitch,” the likeable Brazilian noted.

Yuen Long forward Yuan Yang acknowledged that a professional football player needs to have a tad bit of craziness in order to succeed in his trade, as the slogan for this year’s Hong Kong Premier League points out. “As a professional football player, you do need to be a bit crazy to keep pursuing your dreams single-mindedly. I think it is a good thing for players to express themselves more both on and off the pitch, allowing the fans to feel your charisma and attracting more supporters to follow your team or yourself, eventually turning more people to all go crazy for the Hong Kong Premier League,” Yuan explained with a smile.

Glory Sky Wong Tai Sin’s Lau Tsz-kin admitted to feeling somewhat surprised by the positive reception that he received on the occasion. “I feel greatly honored to be invited to attend today’s (Sunday) promotion event regarding the Hong Kong Premier League. I am never the most talented player and I can only work hard to try to make up for that, hoping to keep my football dreams alive. I never thought supporters will be coming up to me, calling my name and asking me for autographs and pictures. When I think about all these and my perseverance throughout the years, it all sounded very crazy indeed,” Lau expressed.
