RCFC U16 took on Kitchee U16 in Siu Sai Wan Sports Ground on Sunday for the Hong Kong Premier Youth League U16-FA Cup final.RCFC U16 emerged victorious over Kitchee U16 by a scoreline of 2-1 to claim the championship title.

It was a even game in the opening minutes of the game, Lam Pak Yin had a chance to take the lead with a long-range shot that soared over the crossbar, and Lo Chun Hei also attempted a shot from 25 yards away but missed the target.

It wasn't until the 16th minute that RCFC U16 broke the deadlock.A brilliant pass from Wong To Lam Vito sent Tang Hon Cheong into the penalty area,the latter knocked the ball towards the back post which was met by Lo Chun Hei’s right foot and found the back of the net,RCFC U16 was up 1:0.

RCFC U16 had a chance to extend their lead on the 20th minute,Tang Hon Cheong connected with Wong To Lam Vito s lovely through pass but his shot went wide under the pressure from the defender.

Kitchee U16 tried to comeback and had more possession afterwards.On the 29th minute, Chan Shing Chun's shot from the top of the box was denied by the goalkeeper. Meanwhile,RCFC U16 also produced a solid chance,Wong To Lam Vito who was a constant threat throughout the game,dribbled past two defenders on the left flank,only to see his effort was blocked a defender.On the 34th minute,Cheung Yiu Hin's free-kick curled towards the far post, but the RCFC U16 goalkeeper did well to turned it away.RCFC U16 went into halftime with a one-goal lead.

Kitchee U16 continued their relentless pursuit to level the score in the second half.On the 50th minute,a corner delivery from Wong Yat Hin almost led to an own goal by Au Lok In, but the goalkeeper made a timely save to keep their lead.However, Kitchee U16 failed to capitalize and conceded another goal on the 54th minute. Kitchee U16 failed to clear Tse Yin Tao Ernest ’s right cross in the penalty area,leading to Cheung Ching Wan's goal in the melee, and giving RCFC U16 a 2-0 lead.

Kitchee U16 struggled against RCFC U16's well-organised defense and had difficulties on producing scoring chances.On the 69th minute, Cheung Yiu Hin cut inside from the left and fired the ball wide.Four minutes later,Lu Man Hei collected the ball inside the box and pull the trigger,but his effort was blocked by RCFC U16 defender.

Kitchee U16 finally fought one back in the stoppage time.Chan Shing Chun sent Lu Man Hei darting into the box,and the latter drilled the ball past goalkeeper,making it 1:2.But it was too late to change the outcome,RCFC U16 claimed victory over Kitchee U16 with a score of 2:1 and became the champion.
