Kitchee U16 has become the Hong Kong Premier Youth League - League Cup U16 champions, following a 1:0 victory over HKFC U16, Lau Yu Ho scored the only goal in the final.
On a windy Sunday evening at FTC, Kitchee U16 started the game in style by keeping possession, but the first chance was created by HKFC U16, which had a chance that chased down a teammate’s long pass but his shot was gone wide.
On the 19th minute, the HKFC U16’s defence finally yielded to Kitchee U16’s pressure and it was Lau Yu Ho who broke the deadlock, he scored from close range which assisted by Fok Jun Hei Ryan.
HKFC U16 had a golden scoring chance in the 80th minute but Maxwell Hamilton Dowding’s header narrowly missed the target. Kitchee U16 almost expanded their lead after that but the HKFC U16 goalkeeper made serval good save at the end of the game.
Finally Kitchee U16 beat HKFC U16 by 1:0 and lifted the League Cup (U16) trophy.
