Crownity North District were handed a lifeline when Wong Wai Kwok was felled in the area after Matheus Soares' pass. However, Matheus Soares blazed the resulting spot-kick over the bar.

In the dying moments, Constancio Guilherme found Lo Kong Wai, who couldn't pull the trigger. The ball fell to Matheus Soares, but his effort was dramatically cleared off the line by Jack Sealy. HKFC held firm to secure a 2:0 triumph, claiming their maiden win of the campaign and a vital three points.
