The Hong Kong Premier Youth League aims to provide a more competitive platform with more training hours for the elite youth players. With the support of more resources, the youth players should be able to sustainably develop themselves, and hope to provide more young players for the Hong Kong Youth Representative Teams to strike for excellent results in the youth international level. Meanwhile, it provides the opportunity for clubs to build up their own youth teams in different ages, and to recruit the best young players. Not only to benefit the sustainable development of local clubs, but also to provide opportunities for elite youth players to become professional players in top local clubs.
